Siege the day!

A new design for an old idea. The X-treme Onager is a simple torsion engine, with a frame designed for three advantages over a traditional Onager:

1. It puts the skein in the middle of a double-frame for added strength
2. It eliminates the need to drop the sling into a hole or off the edge of a table
3. It allows the arm to rotate farther, past the traditional vertical stop.

This design achieves those goals and it looks darn cool too!

Desktop_Trebuchet
Defend your desktop!

Our new Desktop Trebuchet is now available! It's a perfect ornament to any desktop or bookshelf. Unlike most model trebuchets, the sides angle inwards for a stronger axle and to create complex angles at the joinery. It's a much more interesting model, and it hurls missiles (included) over 20 feet!

Guillotine-style trebuchet is back!

This one has lots of improvements over the old model.

We've updated the frame architecture, wheels,

Walker, 11:12 am, 08/15/2008: DragonsHeorth, You could get a lot better response if you start a discussion thread.
DragonsHeorth, 07:50 pm, 08/14/2008: and 80 yards is the max we need.. could be less but that is no fun!
DragonsHeorth, 07:43 pm, 08/14/2008: got it 2oz per ball plus tape so MAYBE 3 x 16 = 48 oz so 3 pounds or so, yes?
DragonsHeorth, 07:40 pm, 08/14/2008: yeah.. they won't be weighted (they have to hit armored folk). 4 clumps of 4 would be max.. what is that #? any idea?
madmattd, 07:31 pm, 08/14/2008: Tennis balls 80 yards is pretty optimistic, unless weighted. They just don't fly far.
DragonsHeorth, 07:20 pm, 08/14/2008: I see the CD's and such to buy but not sure if they will have what I need and if you wise folks have agreement on what would be the BEST for a forming SCA crew. thanks again!
DragonsHeorth, 07:19 pm, 08/14/2008: Greetings All! I am in NEED of concensus and then pointing toward the MOST effective trebuchet plans for SCA seige usage (I.e. 4-6 clusters of 4 tennis balls 80 yards). Anyone able to help, please email me directly so I can find my way! thanks!!
Thomas, 11:58 pm, 08/09/2008: Jieming, I just re-read this. Didn't realize Duke was a Chinese title.
Walker, 12:22 pm, 08/02/2008: No. I didn't know that. Sounds fastantic!
